Today's Resources & Lesson:
- Defining our next challenge: Propeller Propulsion
- Check work from Friday, reinforce joints w/glue.
- Continue cutting your balsa wood pieces for your main wing panels following techniques we talked about in class.
- Tape down pieces, glue at joints. Remember, Weight Counts!!!!
- If your main wing is finished, begin designing your tail wing.
- Get a piece of 1cm piece of graph paper the size that you need.
- On the blank side, plan your tail wing rough draft. Be sure to develop dimensions for your tail wing span and chord. If you are planning to use a vertical stabilizer, develop the dimensions for those as well.
- On the graph paper side, develop 1:1 scale drawings of your tail wing parts.
- Remember to label every drawing, and remember our Attention to Detail, Quality of Work, and Precision!
- If you finish early, you can work on BrainPop: Flight , BrainPop: Wright Brothers , and other unfinished worksheets from class.
